Synopsis for "The Road Back"

Ten years before the start of the Chamberlain's Brimstone problem, Joe Chamberlain stands up to some bullies who were threatening to harm a wild rabbit. When they begin to fight back Annie Chamberlain starts throwing rocks causing the bullies to leave, Annie goes over to Joe who explains the rabbit had been hurt, and they agree to look after the animal.

In the present, Annie is stood with a shotgun pointed to Jack Smith's chest as he sits at a table with a family of corpses surrounding him. He taunts Annie about how she cannot kill him as he knows too much, instead he explains how he got here; the Salesman had made him an offer, but he rejected it by sticking a fork into his eye. From this point, Jack had stolen a copy of the Salesman's Ledger and began to travel and wreak havoc along the way.

To coerce Jack into talking, Annie shoots him in the chest with a rock salt round, non-lethal but painful nonetheless. From the floor Jack continues to taunt Annie, realising that she had left Joe behind due to his increasingly erratic behaviour. Jack does not need to stall for long as another of the Salesman's agents, Razorjane, explodes her way into the cabin where Annie and Jack are and she throws Annie out of the wall and onto the street.

With a little more spare room and a moment of thought, Annie shoots off the fuel caps from several cars causing a small pool of oil to flood onto the street. Razorjane's metal body causes sparks as she walks which set off the fuel and cause a large firebomb to erupt, knocking Razorjane to the floor but Annie hesitates before taking the final, killing shot.

A voice from behind her stops Annie, Brimstone walks out of the fire but Joe soon emerges and the twins reconcile - deciding to be better people. Elsewhere, Jack uses Annie's dropped shotgun to kill Razorjane while the Chamberlains spoke, Brimstone emerges to kill Jack but he is stopped by Annie who states that Jack does not want to kill them either - they are too fun - and Jack walks off into the night.

Unbeknown to all, in an abandoned mall, several of the Salesmen crowd around in preparation for some great meeting.
