Synopsis for "The Kids Are NOT Alright Part 1"

The town of Marienbad is cursed by children who have been hunting down and haunting the adults until none remain.

Annie and Joe Chamberlain find themselves heading to Marienbad in the Salesman's car, following his ledger. They arrive and it seems the town is deserted, they see no sign of life except a single person darting between the houses. They go to investigate and find a man hiding in the shadows brandishing a knife. Joe assumes he is the villain but Annie stops him and the man reveals himself to be a sole survivor of the curse, Jack Smith, he explains how the town's children began talking about Slackjaw, a shared imaginary friend who spoke to them through the television. This escalated until the children started hunting down the townsfolk.

They are interrupted by the children's song nearby, and not long after, a hoard of cured children make their way over to the trio holding pitchforks, scythes and other weapons. Refusing to kill potentially innocent children, Annie finds an escape route and they run away through the town into a children's play park where a shambling mass of televisions and children approach them - their chanting getting louder and louder - and soon Slackjaw himself reveals himself.
