Synopsis for "La Bel Dame Sans Merci, Part 2"
With his powers dampened, Joe faces off with Bel Dame who is curious about the two Chamberlains as they seem to be full of hope compared to other agents of the Home Office. Though the siblings try to escape, Bel Dame uses her rot powers to infect Annie. Bel Dame reveals that she is separate from the Home Office (who use agents like Brimstone to make Earth hospitable), instead she uses thralls made from sacrifice and servitude.
With Annie in pain, Brimstone resurfaces and he charges at Bel Dame though she soon raises her army of the dead from the swampland who surround and she speaks of her powers through sacrifice. Brimstone attempts to burn away the Drowned but instead he finds that they are an extension of the Bel Dame and therefor have an extinguishing effect.
Annie, elsewhere flees into a barricaded building and prepares herself for the horde chasing her. As Brimstone fights the Drowned Dead, Annie begins to shoot her shotgun into the crowds of people who eventually overwhelm her and soon both are captured.
Brimstone is forced to his knees as the Bel Dame orders Annie out of the room, now heavily bruised and bleeding. She offers him a chance to beg for her freedom, but she needs a sacrifice; to free his sister he must burn the tormented townsfolk. Annie, however, is against this and she screams at Brimstone, no longer believing it to be Joe in control. The townsfolk are cremated but Joe heals Annie's arm causing her to collapse.
Brimstone goes to grab the Bel Dame but she disappears into mist. Annie escapes by taking the Salesman's car and driving as fast as she can to get away.
