Blood's host, Xavier Nihilo, is in possession of a black diamond shard, and claims it has to power to counter Merlin's binding spell. Unfortunately, a persistent foe also on the West Coast wants the power of Eclipso for himself, so he can finally exact revenge on The Demon.
