The Fiery Pits Below is one of the many realities that were created by Auteur.io and stored into his Archive of Worlds.
History
This universe is an hellish landscape which is inhabitated by demons, including the fierce Etrigan, that had previously managed to murder every human being on this reality.[1]
The supreme creator of this reality, Auter.io, chose Etrigan and his demonic army to be his enforcers in the destruction of every reality that Auter.io deemed unable to achieve perfection, allowing the demons to leave their universe for the time needed to bring on the Apocalypse on these realms,[1] including the so-called "The Mad Science of Dr. Atom".[2]
After Auter.io decided to obliterate the World of Tomorrow, he contacted Etrigan once again and ordered him to destroy that world. As Etrigan demanded for a more central role in Auter.io's stories, his supreme master super-charged his abilities with a Phantom Zone crystal that channelled Earth 0 Superman and Batman's power into the demon himself. Then, Auter.io. briefly merged The Fiery Pits Below with The World of Tomorrow, allowing Etrigan and the Demon Horde of Apocalypse to cross to the alternate reality.[1]
After Superman of the World of Tomorrow and Batman of the The World of the Knight managed to free their Prime selves from the Phantom Zone, the latters defeated Auter.io and split The Fiery Pits Below from The World of Tomorrow, forcing Etrigan to return to be a king on his home reality.[3]
