Synopsis for "The One-Minute War, Part Two: A Ten-Second Week"

This story is reprinted from The Flash #791.

At the West house; Wally, Linda and Irey regain consciousness and find that everyone else, including Jai, appears to be frozen in time. They quickly realise that in fact they are moving at maximum speed and cannot slow down. The rest of the neighbourhood had been destroyed by the blastwave when the Fraction landed, but fortunately they and their friends were saved by Jai pulling a tree in front of the house as a shield just before it hit.

At the crash site, Kid Flash and Impulse investigate the ship. The two argue and Bart attempts to phase through the wall of the ship but finds that he can't. Hatches open in the ship and tanks emerge, but Jay Garrick arrives and pulls them into cover before they are spotted. Meanwhile Wally ventures into the city and finds Barry cradling Iris' dead body. Barry is stricken with grief but Wally tells him that he needs his help and Barry puts his feelings aside for the moment. They are attacked by a flyer and split up, with the tank following Wally. Wally destroys the tank by throwing a length of rebar at it.

Jay, Bart and Wallace are cornered by a Fraction tank and squad of soldiers but Jesse Quick saves them. She tells them that she recognises the ship as the "spire" which she and Max saw on a parallel world while searching the Multiverse for Barry during the Dark Crisis, and tells them that the invaders are the Fraction. Elsewhere, Max Mercury also sees the spire from a distance and realises what is happening, and heads into the city to rendezvous with the others. The Flash family, including Barry carrying Linda's body, all reunite at the West house.

Meanwhile at the Fraction's ship, their survey reveals an abundance of resources and an abnormally high number of Metahumans on Earth, as well as at least five Speed Force conduits within the immediate vicinity. Excited at the prospect of such a rich haul, the Fraction admiral orders them to send "the Hunter" to capture them. Odium, one of his lieutenants, reluctantly releases Miss Murder, a creature from a "dark world".

Synopsis for "The One-Minute War, Part Three: Impulse Buy"

This story is reprinted from The Flash #792.

A grieving Barry Allen pulls himself away from Iris's body and joins the rest of the Flash Family. Jay Garrick tells the others that the Fraction's tanks are moving out from the spire in a search pattern and it's only a matter of time before they reach the West house. Bart and Wallace ask how the Fraction are messing with their speed and Wally suggests that the Fraction have found a way to tap into the Speed Force via technology. Barry suggests that if they could get one of the Fraction's vehicles they may be able to find a countermeasure and "unfreeze" the world.

As he says this, Bart dashes away. The adults do not notice but Wallace does and follows him. Bart tells Wallace that he is going to steal one of the Fraction's tanks and Wallace reluctantly goes with him, as every time Bart goes solo he ends up causing chaos. They find a tank and Wallace tries to formulate a plan, but Bart spontaneously decides to just stow away on the tank and runs over before Wallace can stop him. Meanwhile, Miss Murder's hounds pick up their scent and she follows the tank with them inside back to the Fraction's ship.

The rest of the Flash Family break into Mister Terrific's personal lab at Terrifictech to establish a more secure base. Wally says he and Barry will try to obtain a Fraction vehicle and tells the others to fan out and bring any civilians they can find back to the lab. They all suddenly realise the boys are gone.

Bart insists on riding the tank into the Fraction ship rather than overpowering the driver and taking it. Once they are inside the ship, Impulse again wanders off to an engine room and finds a battery in the wall. Bart decides to steal it on a whim, much to Wallace's shock. On the bridge of the ship, the Fraction leaders realise their main power has gone offline and dispatch soldiers to investigate. Bart and Wallace bump into the soldiers and Bart impulsively decides to ram them with the battery, much to their and Wallace's shock. They knock out the soldiers and break open the battery, revealing a person inside.

Suddenly, Miss Murder appears and corners them in the hallway. They attempt to escape but her hounds move to block them however they move. The man from inside the battery tells them that Miss Murder can read their thoughts and so Bart decides to just act without thinking. The group run directly at Miss Murder and slide under her, and then the three of them run to the tank. They steal it and drive back to the West home, where Wally and Max Mercury have returned to look for them. Max berates Bart for running off alone, but Wallace defends him and claims they both decided to go and that Bart's impulsive nature is the only reason they made it. Wally opens the back of the tank and finds Grodd, Captain Atom and Superman, all frozen.
