- In a future 2021, a future Barry Allen creates time remnants to defeat Savitar who kills each one of them but one. However, Savitar is actually trapped into the Speed Force by Future Barry, the estranged time remnant goes rogue, journeys back in time and becomes Savitar, creating the time loop that allows his existence.
- Savitar has to kill Iris in order to ensure his birth in the future.
Trivia
- The title of the episode is a reference to Savitar's existence as a paradox as well as the time changes due to Barry temporary losing his memory.
- "Post 58" is The Chronicles of Cisco post regarding this episode.[1]
- In an alternate version of Earth-1, which was born as a consequence of Barry Allen never creating the Flashpoint Timeline, Savitar never came to exist as Barry never altered the original timeline.[2][3][4]
