Notes
- This episode takes place one day after the epilogue of the Arrow episode, "Green Arrow".
- This episode introduces the concept of Multiverse in the Arrowverse continuity.
- Although it has been never confirmed, Joe West's friend, Jimmy, is actually the Arrowverse counterpart of Jim Gordon.
Trivia
- The title of the episode is obviously a reference to the iconic Flash story of the same name from The Flash #123 which, like this episode, featured the first meeting between The Flash/Barry Allen and The Flash/Jay Garrick and introduced the concept of the Multiverse into the DC Comics continuity.
- After defeating Sand Demon, Barry and Jay run to help Patty Spivot. They are shown running on both sides of a brick column the same way they did on the legendary cover of The Flash #123.
- When Martin Stein explains the concept of Multiverse, for example he notes that Joe West of Earth-2 could be a Nobel-Prize-winning physicist. That is a nod to Ira West, Iris West's father from the Pre-Flashpoint continuity.
- The events of "Welcome to Earth-2" confirms his hypothesis.
- Woodrue Greenhouse is a reference to the DC character, Floronic Man/Jason Woodrue.
