Notes

• This episode reveals that the fake Godspeeds are clones of the real August Heart that were created after he split himself across the Timestream.
• This episode also confirms that the Speed Force can manage its connections with speedsters, taking away, amplyifing, gifting its speed abilities.
  • The Speed Force is also able to release Eobard Thawne from the Negative Speed Force and gift him a new, human body.
• The changes to Nora's Future due to Godspeed being defeated in the present are eventually revealed in "Impulsive Excessive Disorder".

Trivia

• Godspeed splitting himself across the Timestream to create infinite copies of himself is vaguely reminiscent of Savitar's plan from "Finish Line".
  • Similarly, his plan to get the "real" Speed Force energy mirrors Zoom's plan from Season 2.
• Barry teaming up with his arch-enemy Thawne to deal with Godspeed mirrors their comic counterparts doing the same against the time-manipulating supervillain, Paradox in the Post-Flashpoint continuity.
