Notes
- This episode takes place on March 14th, 2023, which is Barry's second 30th birthday as a consequence the events of "The Curious Case of Bartholomew Allen".
- The setting of the episode also implies that it takes place before "The Good, the Bad and the Lucky", "Wildest Dreams", and "Partners in Time".
- Bloodwork saying he just escaped from his A.R.G.U.S. imprisonment implies that the "Training Day" and the "Phantom Punch" stories from Earth-Prime #5 and -6, as a consequence of the time alterations from the Forces War,[1] have now happened in March 2023.
- This episode marks the final Arrowverse crossover as well as the last appearances of Oliver Queen, Wally West and John Diggle in the Arrowverse continuity.
- Team Flash rediscovers the existence of the Multiverse in this episode.
- The Spectre/Oliver Queen ultimately reveals that the birth of the new Multiverse was a side-effect of him using too much power during the creation of Earth-Prime.
- The first full insight of the Post-Crisis Multiverse will be shown in the Titans episode, "Dude, Where's My Gar", and, then, in the The Flash movie.
- The Spectre/Oliver Queen implies he's become the guardian of the Multiverse, saying that he can only intervene if the Multiverse is in serious danger. This previously occurred in Earth-Prime #6, where Spectre helped the heroes of Nora's Future repel Magog/David Reid's invasion.
- There's a continuity error in this episode as these events take place in March 2023 but Allegra says Chester she loves him for the first time in "Partners in Time", which takes place some time after the events of this episode.
Trivia
- The title of the episode is a pun on the "It's my party, and I'll cry if I want to" line from Lesley Gore's song, It's My Party, as well as a reference to Barry's 30th birthday party and his death.
- It is also a subtle nod to a similar quote that Frost said in "Dead Man Running" which also featured her 30th birthday party and Team Flash's first clash against Ramsey's Blood Brother, Mitch Romero, who also cameos in this episode.
- "A hero returns. The Arrowverse teams up one more time." is the tagline for this episode.
- The events of Earth-Prime #6 reveal that, on Nora's Future, Ramsey managed to restore his meta-abilities some time after the events of this episode.
- Magog/David Reid was responsible for Ramsey Rosso's escape in Earth-Prime #5 which eventually leads to the events of this episode.
- The conversation between Oliver and Barry in the epilogue mirrors their original conversation from "Pilot".
- Oliver's words about Khione foreshadow her ascension to Godhood in "A New World, Part Four".
- Barry asks Oliver to not share his magical powers with him before his resurrection as "he killed the Speed Force last time". This is a callback to the events of the Arrow episode, "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Four", where Oliver Queen used his Spectre powers to project an almost powerless Barry into the Speed Force, corrupting it and eventually causing its destruction.
- Oliver saying that his future with Felicity is "written" is a reference to the epilogue of Arrow series finale, "Fadeout", where The Monitor reunites his spirit with Felicity's in Oliver's Star City-shaped Heaven.
- Oliver telling Diggle that his "brightest days" are ahead of him is a subtle nod to John having given up his Green Lantern Corps legacy in "The Man in the Yellow Tie".
- Barry mentions that he's the 180th time he saved Central City. This is a nod to this episode being the 180th one of The Flash.
