Notes

  • This is the first episode of The Flash to be set on Earth-Prime.
  • This episode takes place before the events of the Arrow series finale, "Fadeout", as Diggle has not yet found the unknown alien object.
  • According to Cisco's Post-Crisis timeline, most of the events of Pre-Crisis Earth-1, Earth-38 and Black Lightning's Earth still happened but a few of them had some differences:
    • The Legends were formed in late 2015 instead of early 2016;
    • The Singularity created new metas, including the Hunter Zolomon of Earth-Prime and his meta-human army, who still invaded Central City in 2016;
    • In 2017, time-traveling Nazi from World War II invaded Earth-Prime instead of the New Reich from Earth-X.
    • The Ray never traveled to Earth-X and debuted in 2015.
  • Some of Earth-1's dead villains are revealed to be alive on Earth-Prime, including Abra Kadabra, Block, Girder and Null.
    • Null being still alive implies that DeVoe spared the Central City Bus 405 metas in the Post-Crisis continuity.
  • Nash Wells has become a living paradox as a consequence of the creation of Earth-Prime as its residents have never interacted with parallel universes in the Post-Crisis continuity.

Trivia

  • The title of the episode is a reference to Diggle's quote "Life is a marathon, not a sprint, Barry." from this episode.
  • Cisco's Who's Who? Binder is a reference to Who's Who and its sequels, an index of every character, major or minor, in the DC Universe.
