This episode was supposed to be the season finale of Series 6.
- Mother is a reference to how the Mirror clones called their creator, Eva McCulloch.
The Speed Force is reborn because of Iris West's residual speed energy powering up the Artificial Speed Force machine.
Harrison Wells is shown to be the result of the Multiverse balancing itself for the loss of the other Harrison Wells.
- He is also shown to be himself a Multiversal entity who is able to travel through time itself.

After being reborn, the Speed Force energy spread itself through the universe and, possibly, the Multiverse; however, it is shown to be split into four energy signatures.
