- This episode gives a first full insight into the (Pre-Crisis) Multiverse and implies for the first time that some DC shows (Supergirl and 1990 Flash) are set in the same multiverse, a concept that will be expanded during the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover.

- Cisco states that he thinks of his alternate counterpart as an alternate Elon Musk which foreshadows his doppelganger from the Flashpoint Timeline.
- On Barry Allen's speed dial on Earth-2 are the names Bruce, Hal, and Diana. This is a reference to Bruce Wayne, Hal Jordan, and Diana of Themyscira.
