The Flash Annual (Volume 2) #12 is an issue of the series The Flash Annual (Volume 2) with a cover date of October, 1999.
Synopsis for "JLApe (Part V of VIII) – The Apes of Wrath"
The Flash has been turned into an ape. The other speedsters try to catch him to change him back, but he leads them right to Gorilla Grodd, who transforms them into apes, as well. Grodd uses the speedsters to charge a big machine that will turn everyone in the world into an ape.
As a chimpanzee, Impulse becomes unusually philosophical, and he reasons out that Grodd is coercing them to perform an evil act. Impulse reasons with his fellow speedsters, and leads a revolt against Grodd and his troops. Impulse also turns back into a human by vibrating through a wall. Flash follows suit, and destroys Grodd's machine.
