The Flash (Volume 1) with a cover date of September, 1969.
Synopsis for "How To Invade Earth... Without Really Trying!"
Hal Jordan travels to Central City for a toy fair, and he pays a visit to Barry and Iris Allen. Iris decides to introduced Hal to a woman she met recently, but that woman turns out to be Olivia Reynolds, Hal's rival as a toy seller. During the evening, Olvia is more friendly than Hal expected. Accidentally, he commands his ring to probe her mind, but that probing backfires and shocks Hal with a headache.
Barry and Hal walk during the night when they suddenly find an invading alien spaceship attacking the city. Both heroes change quickly into their super suits and fight the invaders, who use illusions to create fake monsters. A close look at their guns reveals that they are toys instead of real weapons. The invaders shock the heroes with a powerful blast, seemingly disintegrating Green Lantern and Flash.
The blast teleported the two heroes a few blocks away, with their suits swapped and their powers stripped. When they reunite, they meet an alien called Glabr from a race called Lenlgyns. This historian explains that the invasion was only a simulation sent by the Lenglyns. This alien race seeks U-Minds, possessors of great mental powers capable of keeping their race alive. The most recent U-Mind is found in Olivia Reynolds, but she must be unaware of its existence to protect her. When Hal Jordan probed her mind, it triggered an emergency action, and the Lnglyns sent a ship with their robot army, the Mogrians, to simulate an invasion attack and distract the intrusive Green Lantern. However, the Mogrians decided to revolt and carry out a real invasion on Earth.
After the historian ends the briefing of the situation, the three of them join their wills to connect telepathically with Olivia Reynolds, captive by the Mogrians, so she can restore their powers with her U-Mind. With their powers restored, Flash and Green Lantern confront the Mogrians again. They defeat the robots and save the kidnapped Olivia, but Green Lantern uses his ring to wipe her mind and erase all knowledge of the U-Mind so she can live a normal life.
