Synopsis for "And The Winner Is--Death"
Green Lantern tries to keep the time-lost American tank crew and their alien counterparts from killing each other in the little war the aliens have created. The aliens use their Omnitron machine to encourage the fighting, boosting their violent instincts. But a stray bullet hits the machine, and the aliens are affected by the same energy too, so they fight. One of them beats the other unconscious and then, invigorated by the awaken violent instincts, runs toward the was machines, but is killed by their fire. Green Lantern stops the battle for good, encapsulating and immobilizing both tanks. He then lashes out against the surviving alien, blaming them for their irresponsible war games. Green Lantern leaves and takes both tanks to their respective worlds, leaving the alien to mourn the death of his friend.
