- This story takes place after Wally West's "ascension" in Flash Forward #6 and its epilogue in The Flash #750 but before the Dark Knights's invasion of Earth 0 in Dark Nights: Death Metal Guidebook #1.
- Wally West's story chronologically continues in Flash Forward's "Generations Zero" and, then, in the Dark Nights: Death Metal event.
- This story ultimately reveals that Thawne was responsible for many events across all Flash's history, including:
- Giving the Clown the gun he used to kill Derek Fox which caused Hunter Zolomon to become Zoom;
- Killing Jorge Heart and leading August Heart into the path to become Godspeed during the Lightning Strikes Twice storyline;
- The clash between Barry Allen and Wally West during the Flash War storyline;
- Manipulating Wally West into hiding the evidence from the massacre at Sanctuary and framing Harley Quinn and Booster Gold during the events of Heroes in Crisis;
