Synopsis for "Vengeance Is Mine"

On Gemworld, the Flash and Justice League Dark are attacked by a Crystalyrm, a usually peaceful creature being controlled by Eclipso. Amethyst realises that Eclipso must have reached the Black Heart, a gateway to the centre of Gemworld, and the only person who can lead them to it is her old enemy Dark Opal. Wally lures the Crystalyrm to the House of Diamond where Opal is imprisoned and goads it into smashing its way in. Dark Opal agrees to lead them to the Heart in exchange for his freedom, and because the heroes do not have time to get the information out of him any other way, they agree. Opal guides them to the Heart and Wally realises that Eclipso is trying to reach the centre of Gemworld so he can use the entire planet as a giant antenna to broadcast his power across the Multiverse. Doctor Fate begins formulating a strategy but his and the Justice League Dark's minds are taken over by Eclipso.

Meanwhile back on Earth, Jai West is jealous of his sister Irey who has superpowers and is easily making friends at school. At school he catches Irey and her new best friend Maxine Baker sneak into the cafeteria and steal ice cream. They are caught by a teacher and Maxine manages to talk them out of it, but Jai still blackmails Irey into giving him her video game time for a week in exchange for not telling their parents. After school Irey gets into an argument with Linda who refuses to let her sleep over at Maxine's house, and after bedtime she sneaks out of the house to meet up with Maxine. The two run off together while a hulking giant figure watches them from the shadows.
