Synopsis for "Blood Will Run, Part Three: Close to Home"

Jared Morillo is on the phone with his wife looking at a dead cicada in a jar from evidence in front of him. He tells her they have no leads when Fred Chyre interrupts him with a punch in the face. Morillo tells Chyre last time he lost a partner he lost his temper so they need to separate him from the case. Suddenly the Cicada comes back to life and Magenta busts into the room. Her fight with Flash has escalated and is out of control, but she has the upper hand. Using her extraordinary magnetic powers, Magenta manages to knock Flash unconscious and takes him away with her.

At that moment, Linda Park witnesses Wally's defeat and she calls Jesse asking for help, but she is far too busy fighting other kind of monsters.

When Flash recovers conciousness, he realizes that he is being held captive among several people that have been possessed in the same way Magenta was. Flash soon meets Cicada, the person responsible behind all the murders and he witnesses the man take the life of a cult follower. Cicada explains that taking away the people's life energy allows him to live forever ever since the lightning struck him. He believes he's linked with Wally as his powers were granted by lightning as well. As a result, he's trying to be the opposite by sacrificing the lives Wally has saved to prolong his life and also bring his dead wife back to life.

Meanwhile, Morillo is taking off on a lead and Chyre jumps in the car, much to Morillo's dismay.

Cicada then explains that they need his life energy in order to revive his dead wife and Cicada stabs Flash with the knife that absorbs his life force. Cicada's dead wife opens her eyes with a glowing, white light.

Elsewhere, Linda walks into her house and a sees a note that says, "thank you for your sacrifice". As she kneels down and sees a bomb under the table, the whole place explodes and one of Cicada's cult followers witnesses the scene.
