Synopsis for "The Comfort of a Stranger"
A homeless woman and her son wander the streets of New York City. A friendly pair of down-and-out men offer them some food, but the group is suddenly attacked by the Comforter.
Wally West ponders moving to Keystone City as Mason Trollbridge fixes his television. They see Linda Park on the news, covering the story of the recent deaths. Her report is interrupted by the Pied Piper, who declares he will track down the killer.
Wally changes into his Flash costume and begins investigating the murders, talking to the police and a nun who works at a homeless shelter frequented by the victims. He eventually runs into Piper. Together, with the help of Linda, they set up a trap for the Comforter. However, in the ensuing battle, the villain accidentally dies when his power backfires.
