My problem is obvious. I haven't told anyone, but I'm mongo nervous that Barry's re-emergence as the "real" Flash makes me... redundant.

Synopsis for "Identity Crisis"
Wally West recalls his recent past in being the Flash, from when his uncle Barry gave him his own Flash uniform to Barry's disappearance in the Crisis to Barry's sudden unexpected return, after revealing that he was apparently absorbed by the Speed Force. Now, Wally worries that his place as the Flash is made redundant by his uncle's return.
Elsewhere, Jay Garrick visits his old friend Johnny Quick at his organization Quick Start. Jay alludes to a worry of his that has finally come to roost. He requests Johnny Quick's help, but refuses to involve Johnny's daughter Jesse.
Meanwhile, Wally gets a message from the Pied Piper tipping him off to the dealings of an organization called the Combine. He and Barry follow the tip, but find the location empty except for a scale model of the twin cities of Keystone City and Central City. The the Combine's leader reveals that the model indicates the parts of the city under the organization's control, and then traps them in an ever-shrinking force-field.
Jay and Johnny visit a subway station where their friend Max is working at a change booth. Max refuses to acknowledge his past, despite their prodding. They trick him into exposing his super-speed to them, and Jay calls in a favour to convince Max to help them.
Barry and Wally find that separately, they can't vibrate out of the field, but Wally realizes that if Barry jump-starts him, they can both simultaneously vibrate, outwit the mechanism keeping them locked in, and escape. Barry gets out easily, but Wally is left trapped inside, and unable to get out on his own because he can't vibrate to the extent that Barry can. But Barry seems hesitant to help, building Wally's fears that Barry hopes to be rid of him. Barry leaves him to die in the field, going on a tirade suggesting that he plans to destroy the twin cities.
As Barry escapes, Wally tries to concentrate and force himself through the force-field by carefully vibrating through it. When he finally gets out, and returns to his home, he discovers that Barry has already held a press conference declaring that his former partner is dead.
