Synopsis for "Purple Haze"
Flash, Red Trinity, and Blue Trinity battle at the Soviet/Finnish border. Blue Trinity surrenders, and Wally receives a message summoning him to the Green Lantern Citadel. He and Red Trinity all suddenly collapse.
Tina McGee, Conrad Bortz, and Pytor Orloff all return to Syracuse to treat Jerry McGee. Red Trinity is also sent there to recover.
Wally wakes up at the Green Lantern Citadel. The Guardians of the Universe address a large crowd of heroes about a new race of immortals that has been born on Earth and the threat of the Manhunters.
Wally returns home to his mansion, where his father confronts him, telling his son that he is a Manhunter and that his mother is presumed dead in a boating accident. Blue Trinity bursts in and apprehends Wally; they had been hired by the Manhunters to take him back to Siberia. However, Red Trinity arrives in time to scare them off.
Later, Wally receives a message from his mother, who is indeed alive. He calls her at a Miami hospital, and she informs him that his father is dead.
