Synopsis for "On the Run"

After his attack on the lawyer McCullough, the Flash was legally banned from Keystone City. But, of course, Wally West does not comply and, thus, the Flash is literally on the run from the police.

Wally directly confronts McCullough in his highly-secured office. For him, it is obvious that Abra Kadabra has found a way to manipulate the lawyer into leading a public vendetta against the Flash. McCullough vehemently denies this, but from the lawyer's reaction, Wally assumes that Abra Kadabra may have kidnapped McCullough's wife and son.

Immediately, Wally starts searching and very quickly finds Mrs. McCullough and her son in an abandoned warehouse. Wally hurries up as both are chained and hanging upside down in a tank full of water. As Wally jumps into the tank he realizes that he was lured in there by Abra Kadabra who used a hologram. Wally quickly gets caught by the chains and Abra Kadabra also puts a lid on the water tank. While Wally is drowning, Abra Kadabra explains how he made the Flash's life miserable over the last few weeks - even setting up the poor Alison Armitage into suing Wally. But Abra Kadabra celebrated too early, because Wally shatters the tank by vibrating fast and then calls for Commissioner Hotchkiss, who waited in the back and recorded the whole confession by Abra Kadabra. Actually, it was Wally who tricked his enemy this time. When he entered the warehouse, he immediately recognized it as a trap. Using his superspeed, he found the real Mrs. McCullough and brought the police to the warehouse before jumping into the water tank. Abra Kadabra does not go down without a fight, though. In the end, the whole warehouse explodes and Abra Kadabra has once again vanished.

Afterwards, Wally runs to see Allison Armitage in the hospital. He once again tells her that he still regrets what happenend to her and he hopes to find some sense of closure by visiting her. Also, Wally wants to make sure that he never again has to sacrifice somebody. Therefore, he approaches Johnny Quick and asks to give him the speed formula to make him untouchable ...
