Synopsis for "Getting the Drop"

Professor Zoom explained to the Acolytes of Zoom that killing the Flash was not enough and that they had to reveal him as "the greatest evil the world has ever known" before killing him. At Aspen Valley Neighborhood, Henry Allen, Black Mold, and Mogul waited for Girder, but encountered Barry, instead. Black Mold and Mogul wanted to get payback on Barry for putting them in Iron Heights, but Henry threatened to kill them if they tried. Barry embraced his father before confronting him for joining forces with metahuman criminals, carrying a gun, and supposedly shooting the guard. Then, Barry revealed that he had a lead on his mother's killer and saw a man run as fast as the Flash. Henry insisted that Barry forget about the man and to run away if he ever saw him again. Barry attempted to convince his father to come with him voluntarily with the chance of getting cleared, but the elder Allen refused before rejoining his two accomplices. Henry asked Black Mold and Mogul for help with one last thing before paying them enough to flee the country. Barry returned to his apartment where Hartley urged him to leave the hunt for his father to Singh and Darryl.

The next day, Barry and Iris watched Wally test drive a vehicle called the Bolt that he had built. Wally drove the Bolt around a football field, angering a football coach, who demanded that he replace the sod. Barry intervened, forcing the coach to back off. While Iris took Wally to lunch to celebrate, Barry suited up as the Flash when hostage takers demanded to speak to him. However, when he appeared in front of the "hostage takers", the "hostages" were actually just mannequins. He hit one of the "hostage takers" before unmasking him and learning that he was Henry Allen, who asked him to protect Barry from Eobard Thawne. Officers led by Captain Frye arrested Henry, Black Mold, and Mogul and took them away.

In the police transport, Henry told Darryl that Thawne had returned and asked him to protect Barry in his place, moments before they were stopped by Block. Roscoe and Magali took Henry out of the transport and the Flash attempted to intervene before Folded Man stopped him. Then, the Flash found himself underwater.
