Synopsis for "Issue Ten: Run Red"

Wally West sits on the plinth of his own statue in the Gallery of Moments, his memories completely gone. The Resident begs him to try to remember as she fades away, but Wally is unconcerned and forgets about her immediately. An Arc Angle appears before him, but he again barely even notices.

Back on Earth, a high-speed A.I. known as the "Run Red protocol" allows the pilot of the Justice Buster suit to get a target lock on Barry Allen. The suit sprays Barry with a frictionless fluid which Batman once used on him to make him unable to control his speed, but Barry simply uses his Speed Force aura to displace the fluid. The pilot tells Amanda Waller, who is monitoring him on a comm link, that this isn't going to work as the A.I. lacks the capacity for creativity and can only try old tricks that the Flash already knows how to beat. The man in the suit, who is revealed to be Green Arrow, switches to manual controls. He is able to hit Barry with a surprise batarang and go on the offensive.

On the Linear Bureau's station, Inspector Pilgrim tells Jai and Rathaway that the Arc Angles being behind everything makes no sense, as all the data supports speedsters being responsible for destroying the multiverse. Remembering what Nightwing said to Wally about perspective, Jai suddenly realises that reality itself has been twisted to make the numbers fit the narrative the Arc Angles want.

Green Arrow hits Barry with a blast of energy from the tentacle left behind when Wally destroyed the Stillness. It weakens his connection to the Speed Force and Waller orders Oliver to sever it completely, but he refuses as to do so could kill Barry. Oliver burns "BARRY PLEASE" into the grass with a laser, trying to speak to him without Waller overhearing, but Barry ignores it and uses his aura again to create a photonic blast. Barry tries to run away but the suit automatically deploys a grappling hook against Oliver's orders which hits him in the shoulder. However, Barry drags the suit along behind him and it deploys the frictionless fluid to prevent itself being destroyed. Barry is able to match the frequency of the data stream from Red Run's data centre and track it to its source. When they reach the data centre he phases through the grappling hook and stops dead. Green Arrow's momentum sends him flying forwards and he crashes into the data centre, destroying it and taking out the A.I.

Jai uses his "Shaper" abilities to smooth out the distortions in reality and reveal the true solution of the Linear Bureau's calculations, proving that the Arc Angles lied. Inspector Pilgrim says that if the Arc Angles wanted speedsters taken off the board, then they should put them back.

Green Arrow is able to use the Justice Buster's strength to overpower Barry even without the A.I. assistance, but just when it seems he has Barry beaten the entire Flash Family runs in to help. Impulse covers the suit with bombs and they detonate before Oliver can react. The suit ejects him into the sky, but the Flash Family don't see his face as it is covered by a helmet. Oliver is caught by the fulton recovery system and Waller tells him that he was right and Batman's old technology wasn't up to the job; so they will expedite Task Force VII into the field.

In the Gallery, the Arc Angle tells Wally that he has finally become the perfect empty vessel for their plans. They put the Crown of Thawnes into his mind and say that he will soon murder time itself.
