Synopsis for "Issue Two: Stepping Out"

Wally battles the mysterious being that killed Chad but find it is almost invincible. He focuses to intensify his Speed Force Aura, momentarily glitching into another dimension as he does so, and then runs at the creature, smashing it with his force field. However it quickly reforms itself and begins attacking the Guerrilla Gorillas, teleporting seemingly at random across the battlefield. Wally realises that it is glitching in and out of the universe just like he was.

He grabs one of the gorilla's gauntlets, hoping to use it as a weapon against the creature, but he accidentally activates it and is trapped in a stasis bubble. He feels an overwhelming sense of peace at not needing to live up to the expectations placed on him and actually cries a single tear of happiness. Suddenly he hears a voice outside the bubble and he tells it to go away, but the beings outside break open the stasis bubble and introduce themselves as "The Stillness". They transport Wally back to Earth and destroy the creature he was fighting, which they call an "Uncoiled". Wally demands to know what is going on and the Stillness tell him that they are cosmic explorers searching for entities known as the "Arc Angles". They assumed the temporal anomalies on Earth were an attempt to lure the Arc Angles, but now understand they were accidents. They tell Wally he does not fully understand the forces he is meddling with, describing him as a "failed pilgrim", and depart.

That night, Linda has a nightmare about the Pied Piper. Wally is woken up by her and suddenly has a thought, remembering a bee he saw earlier in the day. He runs to Terrifictech and wakes up Mister Terrific, then asks Holt to plot the sites Grodd has been hitting on a map. They discover that they make up five points of a hexagon, the most efficient shape to form a lattice. They determine where the sixth point is and Wally runs over with a swarm of T-spheres loaded with tranquiliser darts.

Grodd and his Askari teleport into the spot they noted just as Wally arrives and brings the Askari down with the tranquiliser darts. Wally and Grodd fight, and Wally finds that Grodd is now able to move almost as fast as him. Wally momentarily glitches into another dimension again and remembers what the Stillness told him. Wally stands still as Grodd runs straight at him and allows himself to momentarily glitch into another dimension again, so Grodd passes straight through him. Wally realises he can control when he "steps" into other dimensions and does so again, allowing him to essentially teleport in front of Grodd so his enemy runs directly into his fist. He does it again and again, beating Grodd down from every direction before he can react. However, a member of the Askari who was able to avoid being tranquilised completes his calculations, and two intersecting rifts appear in the sky.
