Synopsis for "Impulse Control - Part I"

After learning about the tournament to claim the Heart of Apokolips, Impulse suggests travelling back in time to the Battle of the Watchtower and stopping Darkseid then. Wally insists that the timeline is too fragile to meddle with but Bart runs off to do it anyway, disappearing into the past. As soon as he leaves everyone but Wally forgets about him and Wally realises Bart has already done serious damage to the timeline. He chases after Bart and arrives on the Watchtower in the middle of the battle between the Justice League and Darkseid.

Everyone appears to be frozen in time due to the World Forger and Time Trapper slowing time. Bart says that they can defeat Darkseid at top speed without him even realising they are there and charges at him. However, Darkseid is not in fact frozen and punches Bart away. Wally rushes in to help but Darkseid overpowers them, moving even faster than the two Flashes. Just as he is about to kill them, the two escape back into the Timstream, jumping blindly through time.

Impulse appears in Russia in 1908 at the moment of the Tunguska event. He calls out for Wally but he is not there. Suddenly, Max Mercury runs past him, saying that the Omega blast would lead him to his destiny. Impulse chases after him and to his shock Max runs up to Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy and Lightning Lad from the Legion of Darkseid. Max drops to his knees before them and swears his total allegiance to Darkseid.
