Synopsis for "A Space Oddity"

The class of Bedrock Middle School visit the Bedrock Cave of Science and Technology and learns about astronomy from Professor Sargon. The professor explains that scientists are currently sending out signals to find other "turtle-based" worlds. So they are now testing to sending a chimpanzee, Sergeant Grumbles, into space. Sergeant Grumbles is launched from a seesaw with a with a brontosaurus dropped on the opposing side. Although the rocket is burned into cinders.

This test, however, alerted Earth to some green aliens, who came down to Bedrock and greets the locals that are here to peacefully catalog the planet and that they are harmless as their exploration code prohibit them from interfering the Earthlings' "primitive, and frankly laughable, ways."

At the clubhouse for the Veterans of Paleolithic Wars, the guys are discussing the aliens over some billiards. Barney is worried that the aliens are planning to colonize Bedrock, despite Fred's insistence that their thousands would easily overpower an invading alien force. Another vet looks on the positive that should the aliens invade it would make the former soldiers become useful again, since so many soldiers are neglected and left homeless after their service.

Meanwhile, a PTSD vet named Joe is sitting at home, on hold with the Veteran’s Suicide Prevention Hotline.

The next day, a larger alien ship unexpectedly appears and unleash a horde of partying aliens, who are here to celebrate Galactic Break. Soon enough the partiers are littering, harassing people (even puking into the Flintstones' house), and making nuisances of themselves. When Fred goes to the police to file a complaint, some of the drunken aliens begins to disintegrate people when the police attempt to arrest the aliens. Fred quickly rushes back to his house and finding only Wilma and Dino, but not Pebbles. Wilma checks the answering machine - which is a parrot - to find Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm heading to the museum to hide from the aliens. Fred

At the museum, Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm find Professor Sargon and make him spill coffee on himself. Pebbles gets the idea to use the museum’s satellite dish to tattle on the marauding aliens and get their parents involved. As the dish is turn on, the partying aliens notice what is going and tries to stop the transmission. Fortunately, the Paleolithic Veterans led by Fred shows up and start slinging rocks. As the situation starts to get lethal, in which Joe is disintegrated after saving Pebbles, the aliens' law enforcer shows up and start hauling the party goers on to his ship.

With the crisis over, a reconciliation ceremony is held and the aliens plans to ensure that another incident doesn't happen again by appointing one of their members, the Great Gazoo - his title roughly translates to "game warden" - to look after Earth. The mayor of Bedrock also unveils a statue to honor a fallen hero: Sergeant Grumbles.
