Synopsis for "The Iron Horsemen"

The Marvel Family have gotten a letter from a sheriff in Montana begging for help. They fly to help out, and find the bank being robbed by a troop of desperadoes wearing suits of armor and riding robot horses faster than cars, that evade the heroes in the hills around town. Among the cash from their latest robbery, the thieves find fire insurance policies for most of the buildings in Redrock. Their leader, the Iron Duke, strikes on the idea of an arson spree and collecting the insurance payouts. The Marvels interrupt and chase after the Iron Horsemen when caught in their scheme, then go after the crooks when they split up. Uncle Marvel manages to knock one out by having the Horsemen's own horse kick him unconscious, then tries to ride back to town in style aboard it, only to realize too late he doesn't know how to steer one of the robot horses...

Cap chases the Iron Duke himself to the old Spanish castle where the robbers have their hideout. Trying to sneak in surreptitiously as Billy, he falls into a trap and is put on a torture device. Fortunately, Uncle Marvel's high-speed courses sends him crashing through the wall at just the right moment for Billy to escape, transform, and capture the villain.

Meanwhile, the dead explorer's friend (who secretly envied his success) has spoken to the native guides who took him on all his expeditions, and realized the same thing: that the clues to the hiding place of the fortune are located in the city, in places recreating where the explorer had gone on his journeys. John Lattimore finds the hidden fortune, and a letter that despite how far and wide one might travel, there's no place like home.
