Synopsis for The Marvel Family: "The Marvel Family Battles the Dynasty of Horror, Chapter 1: The Mad Mummy"
An archeological expedition investigates an Egyptian pyramid at the bottom of the ocean. A diver's attacked by a giant octopus, but Billy, Mary and Freddy are listening at the station's listening post. They transform, fly and save the diver, then propose a bold solution to speed up the investigation. They lift the pyramid up and carry it to land, push the expedition's ship to where they left it, and smash a way in for the expedition.
The kids tag along when the team investigates the inside of the pyramid. The archeologists don't heed a warning not to open a sarcophagus because it contains "the Mad Mummy", even though it's signed by Shazam himself. Opening it does indeed release an undead horror, who the Marvels quickly subdue. After they change back to the kids, however, the still very functional Mad Mummy knocks them out ("Idiots! You can't kill me, for I am already dead!"). He ties them to a giant stone sphinx that he launches from the pyramid, where the impact will smash them to pieces.

Synopsis for The Marvel Family: "The Marvel Family Battles the Dynasty of Horror, Chapter 2: The Horn of Howling Horrors"
Billy manages to pull off his gag and transform, saving the others in the nick of time. The Marvels fly back to the pyramid, where the Mad Mummy's managed to unearth his giant Horn of Horrors, which he uses to distract the heroes with a plague of demons. Although they easily defeat the hellish horde, the Mad Mummy flies away with his horn with the aid of some giant birds. The Marvels level the pyramid so it can't produce anymore danger, then since Shazam was the one who left a warning about the mummy, they fly to his cave to ask for his advice.
The wizard's ghost reveals that in his own days of crusading against darkness, the Mad Mummy was the ruler of the nether world, but tried to conquer the world of the living. Shazam sealed him up and hid his pyramid at the bottom of the ocean to keep him from ever getting out again. As the kids return to the surface, they're confronted by the Mad Mummy again, who's silenced them with a magic idol in his hand.

Synopsis for The Marvel Family: "The Marvel Family Battles the Dynasty of Horror, Chapter 3: The New Pyramid of Peril"
Using the Horn of Horrors to summon a mummy army, they grab the kids and force them to help build a new pyramid for the Mad Mummy. Billy signals for the other kids to pretend to collapse from exhaustion, whereupon the Mad Mummy has them wrapped in bandages and put in coffins. They manage to sneak up, smash the idol silencing them, and transform. They trounce his army of monsters, bury the Horn of Horrors, and entomb the Mad Mummy again. Shazam himself appears to cast a spell to seal it before the Marvel Family dumps the pyramid in the ocean, but deeper this time.

- Despite the cover, the Mad Mummy is very dangerous and not scared of the Marvel Family, who don't make rude faces at him. They, if anything, treat him as a very dangerous and powerful threat, since he can summon untold amounts of demons.
