Synopsis for The Marvel Family: "The Marvel Family Battles Chief Thundercloud, Chapter One: Redskin Vengeance"

Billy, Mary and Freddy are exploring some old cliffside Indian dwellings, and find an Indian hiding out there. When he attacks them, the kids transform, and the Marvels recognize him as "Dull Tomahawk," a petty crook. To escape the Marvels, he opens an ancient tomb containing the spirit of the evil Chief Thundercloud, a powerful cloud spirit. Obliged to obey the one who frees him, the cloudy head of the ancient spirit whisks Dull Tomahawk to safety, and easily resists the Marvels' attempts to stop him. They can't punch a cloud, after all.

Back at the nearby village, Dull Tomahawk tries to rile up the other Indians so he can be a great and powerful chief, and make war on the whites. They refuse because the whites are going to give them cars. Dull Tomahawk calls on Chief Thundercloud to flatten the village with giant hailstones and hurricane winds to prove his power.

Synopsis for The Marvel Family: "The Marvel Family Battles Chief Thundercloud, Chapter Two: The Pow-Wow of Peril"

The Marvels use tree trunks to construct a giant teepee that shields the town from Chief Thundercloud's winds. Undeterred, Dull Tomahawk orders his servant to demonstrate his power, which Thundercloud does by unleashing supernatural horrors on three towns at once: a lightning storm, poison rain, and choking mist. The Marvels deal with these by cleaving a giant lodestone from a cliffside to attract the lightning, digging up and igniting an oil geyser to burn off the poisoned rainfall, and creating a water geyser to disperse the noxious mist. The Marvel Family change back to the kids to lure out Dull Tomahawk, but Chief Thundercloud witnesses their transformation and blows them right into Dull Tomahawk's clutches.

Captain Marvel, Jr. uses dry ice on Chief Thundercloud, making him shrink into a tiny chunk of ice they seal up again. Bereft of supernatural protection, Dull Tomahawk is no match for the Marvels.
