Synopsis for "Making the Metropolitan, Part 4 of 4: God Save the Queen"
Alabama, 1977; while baby Jackson King telekinetically plays with building blocks, His father tells him to aim big, to go for the jugular. Manhattan, 1999, and King is talking with his psychiatrist about his moods, his brother, and his state of mind. In the year 2000, in the wake of what happened on The Carrier, Jackson and Christine lie in bed, knowing what has just happened to them has changed their lives forever. Four months ago, King comes to his brother Malcolm asking for help. When Malcolm says no, Jackson telepathically says "Deploy", and Malcolm falls into a coma.
Farmer and the team return Jackson's body to Christine, who wants to know exactly what happened. The Last Angel is floating over Los Angeles, possessed by Chichinikia, killing cops who were beating up an innocent man. In his mindscape, Last Angel is revisiting the L.A. Riots, the night he became a superhero, until he talks to a very strange bag lady-Chichinika, who grabs him with her snake-heads.
Back in The Crown, while Christine talks to Jackson's body, begging it to get up, the rest of the team decide that they have to help Bram, while he's having a spirit quest in his mindscape. His possessed body is tearing up L.A. The team leap into action, with Condition Red using his spirit rifle and Union attacking physically to keep Last Angel off balance, and Farmer uses his dimensional shifting powers to enter Bram's mindscape. He encounters Chichinika, now with Bram embedded in her chest, and attacks. He pulls Bram out of her, and convinces him that he has a choice to make: to be a beat-up upon minor hero, or be part of something better. He also calls Bram by his First name: Abraham Dusk. He bonds with Chichinika and The Metropolitan is born. Christine tells the team that they are all keys to the solution, and it's time they opened the door.
At Chimera, The Alienist, a Doctor analog reports that King is dead, and the Chimeran leadership, all The Authority analogs, decide to attack Earth...
