The Next are a group of what could best be described as teenagers from an alternate reality outside of known time and space (a few dozen centuries ahead and a few dimensions over).
History
They stumbled upon modern day Earth while attempting to outrun the Iron Ring and accidentally caused the death of a girl named Monikka Wong. Member Cindy Cindy formed a symbiotic relationship with Monikka to bring her back to life, however, this meant that the group could not leave Earth. The members of The Next formed human bodies and aided Superman in stopping the living time anomaly known as the Oblivon Shadow.
