Notes

  • The cover homages Superman #276, where Superman fights Captain Thunder, a Captain Marvel analogue.
  • This is the issue where Captain Marvel and Superman plays arm wrestling, and there could have no winner if Mary and Freddy had not activated their powers, sharing the power of Shazam. So, if alone, Captain Marvel will have strength equal to that of Superman.

Trivia

  • Captain Marvel speaks "I'm taking you (Superman) down, and the Justice League will come knocking my door again!" But Captain Marvel himself had resigned from JLA, and there seems to be no reason to prevent him from returning.[1]
