The Seven Forces Of The Universe are the dominant energies of the Multiverse.
History
The Seven of the Universe are the primordial cosmic energies that all Multiverses in the void spring from. Born from The Source and pulled together by an Unseen Hand, these energies gathers around two poles: one positive and one negative.
Anti-Crisis Energy
On the positive pole lies the Anti-Crisis Energy, the forces of justice which link every beings to each other and to their past, reminding them they are part of one generational history.[1] Each of these energies are essential for the good working of the Multiverse with all its elements operating in harmony with one another, as one ensures motions, another feelings and other magic and so on.[2] The Anti-Crisis Energy was entrusted to "The Hands," a group of super-celestial beings that were given the job to birth Multiverses by using their internal positive energies. With the expulsion of the Anti-Crisis Energy and the creation of their Multiverse, each member of the Hands would pass on, giving their lives to create new life.[1]
Several of the greatest heroes such as the Flash Family and the Lantern Corps are tied to these energies, giving them their powers.[3] Doctor Manhattan, a nigh-omnipotent being from another reality, is made of Connective Energy.[1]
Crisis Energy
At the opposing pole reside their darker cousins born from the fear and anger of all living beings, the Crisis Energy also known as the Seven Hidden Forces Of Creation, the forces of doom which are about selfish desires and the suppression of the past in favor of the immediate moment.[1] The fallen super-celestial Perpetua hoarded these energies in the attempt to create a vicious Multiverse meant to live forever that would feed on other realities. However, her plans were thwarted and she was sealed away alongside the Seven Hidden Forces Of Creation in the Source Wall by the Cosmic Raptor. It was after the destruction of the Source Wall that Lex Luthor and his Legion of Doom would unlock each of these dark energies.
The Seven Hidden Energies Of Creation
Each of the Seven Energies Of Creation represents something which each member of the Legion of Doom sought all their lives. Among them, the Still Force is sought by Gorilla Grodd, The Invisible Spectrum is sought by Sinestro, the Tear of Extinction is sought by Black Manta, the Black Apple is sought by Brainiac and the Void Wind is sought by Cheetah.
Although they are not part of the Seven Hidden Forces, the Anti-Life Equation and Chaos Magic are also considered to be Crisis Energy forces.[1]
Speed Force/Still Force
The Speed Force is part of the Harmonious Forces and is the energy field that gives the universe motions and grants the Flash Family and all Speedsters their power. Based on velocity and movement, it is the representation of reality in motion, being the very cosmic force that pushes space and time forward. The Still Force, opposite to the Speed Force, is a cosmic force based around entropy and inertia, capable to negate motion, baring the potential to induce and accelerate the force of entropy. The Still Force is part of the Seven Hidden Forces.
Emotional Spectrum/Invisible Spectrum
The Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum is part of the Harmonious Forces and is the energy field that gives the universe feelings and emotions and grants the Lantern Corps their power and is fueled by the emotions of all sentient beings. It governs the Red/Rage, Orange/Avarice, Yellow/Fear, Green/Will, Blue/Hope, Indigo/Compassion, Violet/Love, Black/Death, White/Life with each emotion having its own Emotional Entity such as Butcher, Ophidian, Parallax, Ion, Adara, Proselyte, the Predator, Nekron and the Life Entity. Outside the known colors of the Emotional Spectrum, there is the Invisible Spectrum, opposite to the Emotional Spectrum, that includes Ultraviolet, which feeds on buried primal emotions especially hatred. The Invisible Spectrum is part of the Seven Hidden Forces and like its counterpart, the Invisible has its own Emotional Entity called Umbrax.
Life Force/Tear of Extinction
The Life Force is part of the Harmonious Forces and is cosmic force that allows life to flourish and connects every living being down to their very souls. It is wielded by those like Aquaman or Poseidon who are connected to the oceans, the font of all life. Those touched by the Life Force, whether it be through an object or through the energy itself, retain a connection to all life and can communicate in a telepathic manner. The Tear of Extinction, opposite to the Life Force, is a cosmic force that brings death to any being, even immortal gods and sends them to the Graveyard of Gods. The Tear is the drive towards isolation and solipsism and is connected to the Death Force. The Tear of Extinction is part of the Seven Hidden Forces.
Sphere of the Gods/Void Wind
The Sphere of the Gods is part of the Seven Harmonious Forces and is the cosmic force that gives the universe magic and grants the gods and those who have godlike abilities their power. Beings such as the New Gods and other pantheons such as the Gods of Olympus, the Angels, the Demons, wield this power and are considered multiversal singularities. The Void Wind, opposite to the Sphere of the Gods and the twin force of the Tear of Extinction, is a cosmic force that snuffs out magic and gods and is derived from the harsh winds that blow from the Graveyard of Gods. The Void Wind is part of the Seven Hidden Forces.
Dimensional Superstructure/Sixth Note
The Dimensional Superstructure of the Multiverse is the cosmic force which governs all thing imaginable and unimaginable and is part of the Harmonious Forces. Wielded by those put in place to monitor all creation such as Mar Novu, Alpheus and Mobius. The Sixth Note, opposite to the Dimensional Superstructure, is the cosmic force beyond imagination and is unlocked when the impossible is glimpsed. The Sixth Note is part of the Seven Hidden Forces.
Collective Unconscious/Black Apple
The Collective Unconscious is the cosmic force that gives others knowledge and wisdom and is part of the Seven Harmonious Forces. It is responsible for granting telepaths their power and is also wielded by the greatest of minds. The Black Apple, opposite to the Collective Unconscious, is a force around forbidden knowledges. The Black Apple is part of the Seven Hidden Forces.
Faithfulness/Faithlessness
Faithfulness is the seventh harmonious force and is tied in the nature of faith and is mostly relied on the goodness within people's hearts and their heroic natures. Faithlessness, the dark counterpart to Faith, is a force based on faith people have in Doom as it relies on the evil within peoples hearts and their selfish and cruel nature and is unlocked when one loses the faith one possesses of their loved ones. Faithlessness is part of the Seven Hidden Forces.
Powers
As the primordial cosmic energies, the Seven Forces of the Universe are the materials of a Multiverse on which the so called "Hands" like Perpetua shape them into Multiverses.[4] These energies govern the material universe, imbuing it with concepts like feelings, magic, motions, knowledge and wisdom and so on. The positive aspect of those forces, the Anti-Crisis Energy are in essence connective as they unite people through memory and history, making everything matter.[1] The negative aspect however shatters that connection as they invites people to change history, making only one moment important.[5] The quantum being known as Doctor Manhattan, brimming with Anti-Crisis Energy was powerful enough to alter the timeline, power on which Diana used to link everyone together and restored their memories as one history- one universe.[6] Perpetua attemped to use the Crisis Energy she wields to turn the Multiverse into a reality with no memory, one that would live forever on a self-renewing loop of its own importance. When tapping into the hidden forces granted by Perpetua, Lex Luthor was virtually omnipotent, being able to overpower the Trinity despite the strengthening of their forces by the justice Totality.[7]
