Synopsis for "Meet The Terrifics, Part 1"
A beacon from one of Mr. Terrific's T-Spheres alerts him to Simon Stagg's plans to open a portal to the Dark Multiverse. When he arrives at Stagg's campus, he is greeted by Java and Sapphire but he arrives too late, as Stagg opens the portal with Metamorpho hung between worlds, transmuted into Nth Metal. Mr. Terrific brings his backup—Plastic Man, whose unique chemical composition makes him immune to the Dark Multiverse's energies. Terrific convinces Stagg to close the portal but not before all three heroes are thrust into outer space and Plastic Man swallows the other two to shield them.
They land on what appears to be a lifeless planet but discover that it is actually a mammoth dead body covered in a swarm of large crab-like creatures who attack them. After they repel the aliens, they are met by Phantom Girl who has been stuck in her intangible form for an indefinite period of time. Terrific tells her that they landed on the corpse because of a distress signal that she sent. When she informs him that she sent no signal, he investigates and finds a computer sending out the beacon inside the dead being's gut. Once he presses a button on the control panel, a hologram of Tom Strong appears telling them that they need to save the universe.
