Synopsis for "Element World! – Part One"

Mr. Terrific runs tests on Phantom Girl to determine how the Terrifics became bonded together but abruptly cancels them when she asks about his personal life. Meanwhile, Metamorpho talks with Sapphire about leaving her father's work to come be with him but he is rebuffed and Java mocks him, leading the two to fight. Plastic Man calls Angel to tell her that he's been trapped in the form of an egg for five years and so has not been able to see their son. They are all interrupted by a distress signal informing them of a town in Michigan where everyone is being mutated into Metamorphae. From a sewer grate, Algon emerges saying that he's been imprisoned for a millennium and abducts Metamorpho. The other Terrifics dive into a portal to follow them to Algon's home, the Kingdom of Elements, but are sent to other locations instead. Algon has acquired the Orb of Ra and plans to imprison Metamorpho in the Kingdom.
