A serial killer runs rampant in the city. An old woman named Miss Briggs is terrified with fear as she reads about the strangle murders in the newspaper. She urges her landlady Myrna Magloon to be careful when going out at night but the landlady callously dismisses all her warnings. A mysterious stranger named Purvis later arrives asking to rent a room. The landlady seems to take and immediate liking to him and offers to rent him space in the attic for $7 a week. Purvis readily agrees to take the space since it is convenient to his bus route and he has a night job. Miss Briggs overhears the conversation and urges the landlady to investigate Purvis since he fits the description of the serial killer in the paper. Magloon rudely dismisses her warnings once again. Miss Briggs seems to feel that the landlady is man crazy and has romantic intentions for Mr Purvis. At one point Briggs and Magloon notice that Mr Purvis has failed to leave for work one night. Magloon decides to check on him to see if he is ill. She opens the door and finds Purvis sitting on his bed. She gets a maniacal look on her face as she comments that the man reminds her so much of her deceased husband Horace. She steps forward towards Purvis with outstretched hands saying that she wants to feel her hands around his throat the way they felt around Horaces and others. Magloon then starts to strangle Purvis but she is interrupted as the door swings open and Miss Briggs is standing there shocked at the scene. She suddenly realizes that her landlady Myrna Magloon is the strangler from the newspaper and calls the police.

Synopsis for "Curse of the Sea Hag!"

A man named Jerry is on the run from police when he encounters a ghostly ship named the Sea Hag. The ship is parked by the docks and looks deserted. Jerry decides to use it as a hideout. He boards the ship and begins to explore the space inside. He is suddenly shocked to find a woman sitting in one of the dark rooms. Jerry assumes that the woman is the owner but the woman informs him that the ship actually belongs to a witch named Mrs Heggerty. The mysterious woman then relates the story that she was part of a group of thieves that boarded the Sea Hag with the intentions of robbing Mrs Heggerty. They apprehend the witch but she suddenly set the ship ablaze. The robbers ran out only to find that the ship had gone out to sea. They try to use a lifeboat to escape but two of the thieves fall into the ocean and supposedly drown. Only the woman is left onboard with the witch. Mrs Herggerty then informs the woman that she will remain onboard the ship for a year. The ship will then pull into port but she will only be free if there is someone more evil than her that comes to take her place. Jerry listens to the story but he is very skeptical. He feels that the woman is lying to keep him from commandeering the ship. He then decides to strike out on his own to find the real owner. He then runs into the witch Mrs Hefferty. He notices that the ship has put out to sea as the witch announces that he will remain on the ship for a year to cleanse his soul and welcomes him aboard the unexpected cruise.
