Synopsis for The Two Brains of "Beast" Bracken

A vicious con making an escape attempt suffers brain damage while being apprehended. The brain damage actually improves his disposition as he recovers and he becomes a model prisoner, even befriending the warden's little girl. As time goes on, he begins to feel the old angry personality reasserting itself so he concocts a plan to escape using the little girl as a hostage as he treks out into the swamp. He abandons her as the prison guards close in but she follows him, not understanding his change in demeanor. She falls into the water and yells for help as she can't swim. At first, he thinks to leave her to her fate, but he relents and dies saving her life.

Synopsis for "Let's Scare Lisa to Death"

A pair of schoolteachers arrives in Scotland for their honeymoon. They stop at a local bar where they inquire about the local sites. They learn of a haunted house that offers five thousand dollars to visitors that volunteer to spend the night there. The couple finds the house and meets with the locals who agree to give each of them five thousand dollars if they survive the night in the house. Previous challengers had died, gone mad or fled with fear. The couple decides to accept the challenge and they spend the night. They encounter a creepy environment filled with the hazards of an old house but they also encounter a flurry of ghosts and ghouls that are determined to drive them out. The couple huddles together as the sun rises. They are elated that they have successfully completed the challenge and the locals are waiting outside to pay them their reward. The husband then reveals that they were determined to make it through the night because they had a particular reason to stick it out. As they drive away they reveal that the wife was blind and needed an eye transplant and the husband was deaf and needed an ear operation to restore his hearing. Their lack of senses had benefitted them during the night and now they had the means to correct their medical conditions.

Synopsis for "How To Get Rid of a Corpse"

A pair of thugs named Jaques and Eddie rob a victim coming out of a local tavern. The two squabble over their share of the stolen money and Jaques shoots Eddie to death. Jaques is then faced with the task of getting rid of the dead body. He tries to leave it in an abandoned car but he gets interrupted by the owner and leaves. He then attempts to throw the body over a bridge but a group of people in a car approaches and he becomes reluctant to dispose of the body in that manner. Jaques also gets the idea to throw the body into the sewers but as luck with have it, the sewers are being cleaned and filled with workmen. Jaques then drags the body to an abandoned house and gets the idea to place a gun in the corpse’s hand with the intention of making it look like a suicide. He positions the gun in the dead mans hand and then sits back to take a drink. As he is sitting there, the body starts to undergo Rigor Mortis and begins to curl up. As the body stiffens, the gun goes off and shoots Jaques to death. Jaques fall over spilling his bottle of brandy onto a candle that starts a fire. The abandoned house is soon ablaze with both of the dead bodies inside. As the fireman extinguish the flames they remark that it is a good thing that the building was abandoned.
