Synopsis for "The Loathsome Lodgers of Nightmare Inn"

Ben Barlow travels through a small university town called Welport. He meets a young woman named Kay at a cafe who recommends that he stay at Morleys Inn for the night. She reveals that is the same place where she herself lives. She writes down the address on a napkin which reads 901. When Barlow arrives at the address he is confronted by hideous figures that are determined to abduct Barlow and use his body parts to create other hideous figures. Barlow does his best to escape the house and catches a city bus back to town. He notices that he accidentally turned the napkin upside down. Instead of reading 901, it actually reads 106. Barlow heads to the correct address where he finds Kay at Morley’s Inn. He relates the events of the evening to her and Kay explains that he probably arrived at a fraternity house where they were playing pranks on university pledges. Barlow begins to settle into his room when Kay suddenly transform into a vampire. The inn is occupied by other vampires so Barlow’s screams go unnoticed.

Synopsis for "Die Laughing!"

Two brothers live together in the same house. Daniel takes care of his invalid brother Will but they bicker bitterly over inheritance money. Will controls the finances and doles out money to Daniel in small increments. Will becomes more and more demanding regarding the care he receives from his brother. He begins to suspect that Daniel might actually harm him in order to collect their fathers inheritance money. Accidents soon start to occur and Daniel finds himself putting out flames supposedly from faulty wiring. Daniel accuses his brother of trying to kill him. Will denies it but secretly plans to get rid of his brother. He attempts to poison his brothers cup of coffee but Will secretly switches the cups and Daniel poisons himself. As Daniel lay dying, Will begins to laugh and has a heart attack. He is unable to reach his medications and dies.

Synopsis for "Death Can Wait"

A thief murders his victim on the streets. The murder is witnessed by the victim’s father but the thief gets away after being chased by bobbies. He entually wanders into a building to hide but it turns out to be the business of the victims father. The thief runs off and discovers that the building he has entered contains dead cadavers. He surmises that the victims father is an undertaker. He is still being chased by the father and his assistants who have been notified of his presence. He takes off his clothes and lays on a table pretending to be a cadaver but he has to run off once the father begins to poke him with a needle. The site is being monitored by police so the thief hides inside a coffin that he finds in the building. He then feels the coffin being taken outside and he begins to think that he got away but when the coffin is opened he finds himself inside police headquarters. He is hung for his crimes in the end.
