Synopsis for "Spinning the Future, Part 2"
The Web snaps back to consciousness in a forcefield surrounded by knockout gas. his foe, Dr Archer, says that he accepts no blame for this scenario, and that the Web should have talked to April. Thinking fast, the Web slaps an explosive fake hundred-dollar bill on the forcefield which causes it to fail. Trying to punch Archer, he discover that the doctor is a hologram, leaving him with no leads.
At his secret hideout, Raymond notes that while he was investigating his brother's death, he fell behind in answering the requests on his website. Walking out to get coffee, he sees three Sundollar Coffee outlets on one corner, and the idea hits him - a superhero franchise. With this, he can outsource the activites of the website to others while he deals with his own problems. He puts out a television ad asking for volunteers, and sets up a computer program to vet applicants.
The Koslov brothers run an illegal gambling venue, out of which they sell the drug Vyce. Since Dr Archer is the only person making Vyce, the Koslovs must know where he is. Using a microchip implant to mess with the venues rigged dice, John gains a lot of money, before running into April. She asks him to leave, but when he insist on staying, she warns him that crooks never pay, even if it means killing. John asks where Dr Archer is, and April goes on a rant bout how the Web got David killed.
She storms off, but not before John is able to hide a spy camera on her. Changing into his Web costume, he picks up a transmission from the camera of Dr Archer mentioning "Deuces Wilde", the alias of a gambling organizer and promoter named Milton Kroft. The Web bursts in and knocks out the guards, but April and Dr Archer get away, hiding behind another forcefield.
The Web gives chase, but Archer has arranged for backup: as the Web closes in, a man with a rocket launcher takes aim. At the last second, a mysterious green-and-yellow blur pushes him out of the way. The van drives off, the rocket explodes on the street, and the Web looks up angrily at... two of the people he gave the Web suits to. They are expecting to follow him, but he tells them to find their own criminals to fight and departs. A news report shows that people arond the world are using the Web's suits to become vgilantes, with mixed results. The Web returns to his hideout - to be punched in the face!

Synopsis for "The Darkness Carries Me Home"
The San Francisco underworld is unhappy. The Hangman seems unstoppable. No matter how obscure the plot, how strong the force, or how many guns they have, they have not beaten him.
The Hangman, meanwhile, is despairing that he seems to be facing people who have been driven to crime in search of money and status, as opposed to real criminals. However, he is challenged tonight by the Ugly Man, a giant figure working for the mobs. Cornered, and with seconds to sunrise, the Hangman uses his powers to teleport back to his apartment.
Bob Dickering has his breakfast at an eatery that is popular with the graveyard shift. Sarah manages to track him down, and the two talk. She tries to talk him into revealing something, but he tells her nothing. As they leave, all the conversation in the restaurant becomes muted except for two men by the counter, who exchange Life Savers mints. Bob's mind flashes back to his earlier visitation, and he wonders what is coming for him.
