Synopsis for "Something Sinister About Uncle Harry"
An adopted boy with no past can see that uncle Harry is really a horrible demon when no one else can. The parents don't believe him until he takes a photograph which shows the monster for what it is. Uncle Harry leaves, and the boy follows him, realizing that he never fit in so the demon must be his real father.

Synopsis for "Bet Your Life"
A gambler betrays the gypsy who was foretelling his luck with the cards since he doesn't want to share the money with her. After she tells him his lucky number will be 5 he stabs her. When he thinks he has won his fellow players tell him that he has drawn a queen and not a five. When he looks at the queen card he laughs crazily because it has the gypsy's picture on it but the other players see only an ordinary queen card.

Synopsis for "For Whom the Ghost Bells Toll"
A man promises his lover on the scaffold before she is hung that he will marry her one year from today to humor her. He begins to be pursued by her ghost admonishing him to keep his promise. He signs aboard ship but the ghost follows him there and when the year is up he asks the captain to marry the two of them. The captain can't see anyone else and thinks the man has gone mad but performs a ceremony. After the ceremony the crew can see the specter and the man begs them to save him, but his new bride pulls him down below the dark sea.
