Synopsis for "Burial Insurance"

A wealthy man's nurse plots with his driver to steal items from the old man's vault, but he catches them trying to enter the vault so the driver attempts to hide within it. The nurse says that she'll get rid of the old man and his servant and then the driver can let himself out of the airtight vault. The old man asks her what she's doing down at the vault and she says she thought she heard intruders but was mistaken. The servant tells the old man that the nurse is lying because he heard her talking with the driver. The old man suggests opening the vault, but the nurse pretends to be offended and threatens to quit if he takes the servant's word over hers. She is fearful the old man will have the two of them killed if they are found out and the old man instructs the servant to block the vault door with bricks. The story ends here with the host asking the reader what they thought the nurse would do.
