History
Thebes is an ancient city of Boeotia, Greece, famous for being the birthplace of the greatest hero of Greek mythology, Heracles of Thebes, also known as Hercules.[1]
The city was one of several where the newly created Amazons were sent for a period of ten years by the goddess Aphrodite at the request of Queen Hippolyta so they could learn whatever was needed to build their own civilization on Paradise Island.[2]
