Tommy Colavito was a Brick City police detective and ally of Black Lightning.

History

As Mayor Perry's policy was to ignore the conflicts in Brick City, Police Captain Latimer assigned Colavito to assist Black Lightning's activities in the neighborhood. Colavito ran interference between Lightning and the police and kept Lightning aware of street talk. Colavito began to suspect Black Lightning was being too harsh on criminals and was one of the first to turn on Lightning when he was framed as the serial killer Sick Nick. He later changed his attitude when Batman provided evidence clearing Black Lightning.
