Thorndyke Thompkins was a member of Hourman's "Minute Men" and, much later, served in "Old Justice."

History

Thorndyke Thompkins, alias Second Sweep, was a member of the Minute Men of America, a group of teen heroes who fought alongside the first Hourman in the 1940s, taking a variant of the Miraclo Pills that gave them super-powers for one minute at a time. Thompkins was one of the most active members, and even replaced Jimmy "Minute-Man" Martin as Hourman's foremost sidekick.

In his later years, the aged Thorndyke returned part-time to the Second Sweep identity as a member of Old Justice.
