  • I'm not sure where to post this, but anyway, I'm considering purchasing the Batman: Earth One graphic novel, but two scenes sound quite... graphic. The first scene has a character disembowels his victims with a butcher's knife and the other scene shows "decaying mutilated corpses". It sound doesn't at all decent and I half expected as much, but not to that extent.

So my question or request is that would it be possible for someone to temporarily upload these images please?

    • The knife is present, but he isn't shown actually disemboweling people. He uses it in a fight, but no guts. Some blood.

The other scene, of "decaying mutilated corpses", is covered in shades. We get one panel of them. They look like normal corpses, really. No gore either.

    • Thank-you a lot! It was kind of making me sick really thinking about how bad it could be. I thought it might be kind of insipid. I've seen the Joker on the front cover of The Killing Joke and thought that was kind of forshadowing some gruesome things to come. Billy said it wasn't bad from what he remembered, but I really wanted to make sure what I was getting because I just couldn't have something gory or kind of disturbing. I just don't like things like that.

    • It does feature some heavy reactions to the corpses, I'm not sure if you're into that. But it's not graphic as The Killing Joke (I don't reread that one that often either because it makes my stomach uncomfortable).

    • I kind of thought some reactions in Superman: Secret Origin & Superman: Earth One were a little off putting, but it was something I could get over from. Is it as bad as that?

    • I'm not quite sure which instances you mean.

    • Sorry about that. For the former it was Rudy Jones's transformation into Parasite and for the latter it was Tyrell in general, specifically his death scene.
