  • Hey,

Just wanted to reach out and thank you for your initiative to fill out the Tim Drake page. I know you've been talking to S for advice, and, though I haven't thoroughly read through your write up yet, from what I parced through you've done a great job filling the page out and balancing what to trim. Just wanted to specifically compliment you for that!

I also just wanted to give the tip - don't be afraid to add images! You've done a great job of filling the page, but to avoid it looking like a wall of text and to help with visual aid for our readers - add important images as you see fit.

My rule of thumbs are usually:

    • no more than one image per subsection,
    • don't feel pressured to always add an image - restraint is just as important as with writing,
    • and the character ALWAYS has to be in the picture (preferably textless covers)

Thanks again for the contributions! Let me know if you have any questions at all!

    • I thank you back! And you're right, probably the page is too flat and some images could make the structure better so I will add them, following what you told me up there. For the page, I finished up the trimming of the Batman Eternal section, but I'm determined to make a revision also of the Death of the Family and Batman & Robin Eternal ones.

It's just that right now I picked up Teen Titans once again to refresh myself, and getting two birds with one stone I said, why not adding up some info to Tim's page? I'll add the images as soon as possibile. Only one question: do you think there are already ideal images uploaded here in the media? Or will I probably have to search them up myself? No problem for that, just to be informed. Thanks again!

    • Another question: I was a little troubled in finding how to link the Legion Lost team to an article on this Wiki. What would be the correct article to reference? (Talking about the Legion Lost featured in the New 52 title)

    • Oh! Don't worry about uploading any yourself. My go-to is I usually just visit the cover gallery of whatever section I'm writing - Batman & Robin Eternal/Covers as an example - or the character's gallery and just look around for good images of the character to use for the section.

I'm kinda surprised we don't have an image of Tim Drake's "death" in Detective Comics Vol 1 940 with all the bullets raining down already uploaded. If you have that issue handy, that's the only request I have in particular, but if you don't, literally no pressure, it'll make its way to the wiki eventually, I'm not too worried.

And, haha, you coincidentally asked the wrong-est person about Legion; that's like my biggest darkest blind spot. Legion Lost Vol 2 1 says we use the pre-New 52, post-Zero Hour version Legion of Super-Heroes (Post-Zero Hour). Is that what you meant? I might be misunderstanding.

    • Actually, Harold, it's Pre-Zero Hour. Long story short, Geoff Johns and Paul Levitz un-rebooted the Legion to something resembling its Pre-Zero Hour continuity in the late 2000s. This version carried on into the New 52 era up until last year.

    • The fact that the name "Geoff Johns" gets mentioned does not surprise me at all when we talk about messing up with the timeline. It's a compliment to Johns, of course! I'll link the Pre-Zero Hour version then, but if you provide me the reference here I'll be more than happy, as I think my blind spot is even blinder than Harold's.

For the images, I'll look into the textless covers then, here on the wiki. And for the image of Tim's death, we'll see. I did not touch that part of the page yet. Thanks to both of you!!

Oh wow, I had the tab open on my computer and I still got it wrong. :'P Thank you for the correction! Like I said - I am the WRONG person to ask about Legion, haha.

Got a good image for the Batman Eternal Section, but for Death of the Family I'm a little unsure. There's the Teen Titans Vol 4 #16 Cover but it portrays something which is not true (Tim does not get Jokerized in that issue) so I don't really know if it's right to put it there, it might mislead the reader. And I cannot find an image of Death of the Family related to Tim. Any suggestions?

    • I was anticipating that coming up, I actually just reread Death of the Family and was thinking about that.

I'd definitely avoid the Teen Titans Vol 4 16 cover because, like you said, it's misleading.

I wouldn't hate the textless solicit of Teen Titans Vol 4 15, at least it has the Joker, Tim as a the foremost character card, and the Teen Titans, but, obviously, not the most ideal. Up to you if you wanna use it. Again, don't feel pressured to use an image if you don't think it fits! Images should feel supplementary instead of strictly mandatory.

    • Well after all, Tim is a secondary character in that arc, so I don't think an image is fundamental. Let's say I put the other images I want to insert, then I'll look to the ensemble and if it gives out a flat look again, I'll add the TT V4 #15 variant, I guess, you suggested.

      Thanks for answering so fast!

    • I'll put that cover in. It's a great cover, and it gives the right vibes. And it does give a flat look to me, so I'd say it's a good thing putting an image inside that section as well¬†;)
