Tickeytarkapolis Trootrust, or Tark for short, was a fierce barbarian thief from the steppes of Szasz in Myrra.
History
When Nightmaster was on his way to Warlock Fortress, Tark appeared and demanded his sword and money. Instead, Nightmaster dueled with him for about an hour (with Tark seemingly tireless), until the hero tricked the barbarian and applied a judo throw, winning the combat but sparing his opponent. From that moment on, according the tribal laws of Szasz, Tark would be his slave, which Nightmaster refused. Instead, Tark was his ally against the Warlocks of Myrra.[1]
Years later, Tark and Boz traveled to the Earth plane in search of the Nightmaster. Not knowing what a truck was and the danger it would pose to a human, Tark was hit by one. Sadly, the great barbarian died in a hospital, still trying to find Nightmaster with his last breath.[2]

Notes
- Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985–86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and should be considered apocryphal.
- Swamp Thing (Volume 2) #164 implies that Boz, Tark, the Warlocks, and Myrra itself are only hallucinations in Nightmaster's mind, brought to life when he stepped on Oblivion Inc. When this could be assumed to be real within the Vertigo Universe, the same is not true in the mainstream DC universe. So, perhaps, Tark is still alive, which has never been shown.
Trivia
- Tark sometimes exclaims "By Ringo". Whether Ringo is a Myrran deity or person is unknown.
