Tim Curry (b. April 19, 1946) is a British character actor who voiced Glorious Godfrey on Young Justice, later being recast with James Arnold Taylor, and Mutro Botha on Batman Beyond.

Professional History

Tim Curry is a British character actor with a long and varied career in theater, film, and television, first rising to prominence playing Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. He went on to appear in several high-profile television and film roles, such as Rooster Hannigan in Annie, Wadsworth in Clue, Pennywise in the miniseries It, Captain Hook on Fox's Peter Pan & the Pirates, Mr. Hector in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, King Chicken on Duckman, Sir Nigel Thornberry on The Wild Thornberrys, and Darth Sidious on Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

In 1992, Curry was the first choice of Fox Kids producers for the Joker on Batman: The Animated Series, but the role ended up going to Mark Hamill instead for reasons never fully confirmed, though it is rumored that it is due to his Joker voice being “scary” as has been said by Kevin Conroy. However, Curry did take bit parts in episodes "Be a Clown" and "Fear of Victory", and voiced Mutro Botha in an episode of Batman Beyond. Years later, he voiced Glorious Godfrey on the second season of Young Justice, but was replaced by James Arnold Taylor when the show was revived.
